Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Knowsley Community therapy service, for a band 3 therapy assistant that will support the Occupational therapists, Physiotherapists and Assistant practitioners within the team.
We are looking for an enthusiastic,adaptable and committed individual to join our team.
The post holder will provide therapeutic input to patients working with patients who require rehabilitation with the aim of increasing their independence in their own home. The post holder will work directly with patients following rehab plans set by therapists and supporting with daily therapy expectations. Currently we are looking for 22.5hrs however there may be opportunities to increase the working hours in the future.
Main duties of the job
The main role of the therapy assistant within the knowsley community therapy team will be;
- assisting therapist with assessment and treatment plans
- delivery of treatment plans under guidance from therapist, but not always alongside the therapist
- support with admin tasks (equipment ordering etc)
- be flexible within the needs of the service
- engage in supervision / PDR
- support and engage with the MDT and wider external partners
