Job summary
We have an exciting opportunity for an individual to work within the Specialised Services Therapy team. This is a zero hour contract on the Bank as a Therapy Technical Instructor. The post offers the opportunity to work in an exciting University Hospital. The successful applicant will become part of two clinically based teams that make up the Therapies Directorate. The post will work within acute wards across UHNM sites.
The successful candidate should have experience of working within a healthcare environment and an understanding of Therapy interventions. The post holder will also be expected to complete competencies in both Occupational Therapy and Physiotherapy.
Supervision will be provided by the Band 5/6/7 Occupational Therapist/Physiotherapist and personal development is supported through appraisal and internal and external training.
Main duties of the job
The successful candidate will be supported by our excellent Senior and Advanced Therapists helping to rehabilitate patients predominantly on the Trauma, Elective Orthopaedics, Fractured Neck of Femur wards and also the Acute Rehabilitation and Trauma Unit, Neurology and Cardiothoracic wards.
The Therapies Department comprises of two multidisciplinary based teams, the Medical & Surgical Team and the Network Services Team, incorporating both Occupational Therapy and Physiotherapy. These teams form part of the Trust Medical, Surgical and Network Services Divisions.
