Participate in and oversee the performance of non-clinical supportive activities involving the administration of routine therapeutic treatments delegated by and supervised by a Physical Therapist (PT), Occupational Therapist (OT), or Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA), whom retains responsibility for caring for the patient and directing and supervising the support personnel
Implement physical or occupational therapy programs established by the PT, OT, or PTA
Communicate with supervising PT, OT, and/or PTA, the response of patients/families; encourage patients/families to follow treatment regimens at home
Obtain data related to the interventions provided
Ensure patient/family safety and comfort
Promote the structure, culture, and philosophy of Scottish Rite for Children Sports Medicine Center
Demonstrate effective skills for verbal and written communication with physicians, patients of all ages and their families, hospital staff members, and other community-at-large professionals
Responsible for daily cleaning tasks and infection control processes, such as disinfecting equipment and work areas that come in direct contact with patient and neatly organizing and preparing facility for next operational business day
Assist in inventory management, as well as requesting and restocking supplies
High School education or equivalent
Experience in working with children with disabilities or a therapy setting is preferred
Certification in CPR
