      General Description

      Perform the processing of issuance, endorse, quotes, and policy assembly. Maintain communication with third party service providers such as: Insurances Company, lawyers, producers, and bank officers, within others.

      Essential Duties and Responsibilities

      • Evaluate legal documents, plans, agency resolutions, title studies, CRIM documentation and any other necessary, to determine if a title insurance policy can be issued, anticipating the risks of each transaction, and in compliance with the provisions of the Insurance Code, applicable laws and title insurance policies underwriting guides
      • Analyze, quote and review applications for the issuance of title insurance policies before the closing takes place.
      • Analyze and identify the need for escrow retentions when there is potential risk in a transaction, prepare draft contracts, and justify the retention of funds.
      • Visit Property Registry to resolve title defects.
      • Manage complicated title cases.
      • Prepare presentations regarding title insurance to external lawyers.
      • Review and update procedures for the execution of processes.

      Education

      Juris Doctor Degree

      Experience

      At least two years of administrative work experience

      Certifications / Licenses

      The following certifications and/or licenses are recommended:

      • Supreme Court
      • Notarial Bar

      Other Qualification

      • Identifies and resolves problems in a timely manner; Develops alternative solutions.
      • Oral and written Communication in Spanish and English. Speaks clearly and persuasively in positive or negative situations; Demonstrates group presentation skills. Writes clearly and informatively; Edits work for spelling and grammar; Presents numerical data effectively.
      • Proficiency in Word Processing, Presentations, Spreadsheet, Internet, other related software.
      • Knowledge of Insurance products, services, underwriting, and property, municipal codes and notarial laws and regulations.
      • Demonstrate ability in project coordination, identification of business needs, work plan, time management, resource allocation, team management, status reports and implement changes. Must demonstrate leadership, logic, and reasoning skills.
