Job Description
- Req#: 17277
- Use tool lists and assist with inventory tracking using Microsoft Excel
- Deliver tools and supplies to the production floor as needed
- Maintain a clean and organized tool crib in line with 6S standards
- Complete paperwork related to tool transfers, returns, and change logs
- Support production teams by reducing tool-related downtime
- Sort and inspect returned tools; identify basic tool components
- Visually inspect tools and equipment for defects or signs of wear
- Learn to operate a forklift safely (training provided)
- Follow all safety guidelines and company policies
- Perform additional duties as assigned
- Basic proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Willingness to learn forklift operation and other hands-on tasks
- Positive attitude and collaborative mindset
- Familiarity with basic shop math and hand tools
- Basic computer literacy
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
- Commitment to safety and cleanliness
- Ability to lift to 35lbs.
- Required Experience:
- 0-1 Years of Experience in a manufacturing or tool-handling environment preferred
- High School diploma or GED preferred, but not required.
Position Summary:
Working under direct supervision, the Tool Crib Technician - Level 1 supports production by issuing tools and supplies, maintaining accurate inventory records, and helping ensure tools are readily available to minimize downtime. This is an entry-level role suited for someone organized, dependable, and willing to learn. The position involves basic inventory tracking, tool handling, and assisting in daily crib operations. Forklift experience is a plus but not required; training will be provided.
