      JOB SUMMARY:

      To prepare tools for production process.

      JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

      • Performs a variety of duties necessary to prepare tools and fixtures for the production process. Requires the ability to work from detailed instructions and the making of minor decisions, involving the use of some judgement.

        • Obtains tools scheduled for tool preparation. Sands, scrapes and washes tools to remove excess material. Applies appropriate parting agent and places in oven at appropriate temperature and time. May require additional coats of parting agent.

        • Observes condition of returned tools and makes minor repairs as necessary. Moves tools requiring tool repair to appropriate area.

      • Maintain necessary records to show current status of tool fixture.

      • Requires proper handling and storing of tools and ensuring timely movement to scheduled area upon completion.

      • May make recommendations on tool improvements.

      • May perform de-bagging of parts as necessary.

      • Responsible only for own work.

      • Performs other related duties as required.

      EDUCATION:

      Must have a high school diploma, an equivalent certificate, or a bronze level WorkKeys certification. Requires the use of simple arithmetic, simple drawings and some measuring instruments such as caliper, scale, etc.

      EXPERIENCE:

      Requires 3 - 12 months tool preparation experience.

      WORKING CONDITIONS:

      Somewhat disagreeable working conditions due to exposure to ketone, parting agent, etc.

      This role is eligible for up to a $15,000 (pre-tax) sign-on bonus based on level of experience. Terms & conditions apply.
