- Issue production tools and equipment to employees and maintain records of use.
- Monitor tool crib inventory and ensure tools are returned to their proper place.
- Inspect, repair, and maintain tools and equipment as assigned.
- Maintain the tool room in a clean and orderly condition.
- Perform routine duties involving the care and maintenance of tools and equipment.
- Check tools in and out for use.
- Perform preventive maintenance by tracking due dates and performing periodic inspections and required maintenance for production tools.
- Create and update Tool Control Cards for new tools, including tool history and calibration records.
- Write, track, and file Lost Tool Notices.
- Update data files and file Tool Control Cards.
- Repair or send out broken tools for repair.
- Assist Engineering with continuous improvement projects.
- Conduct inventory of production tools and receive new tools.
- Perform incoming inspections for new tools.
- Send out and track hydraulic samples and receive and file hydraulic sample results.
- Track calibration and periodic inspection due dates, and send out and receive calibrated tools.
- File calibration certifications.
- Tool control and tool room management.
- Calibration knowledge.
- Ability to read blueprints.
- Experience with SAP and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Basic computer skills.
- Understanding of hydraulic tools.
- High School Diploma or equivalent (Preferred).
- Any experience or sufficient training equivalent to demonstrate performance of essential duties and responsibilities.
- Detail-oriented with good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to understand and follow oral and written directions.
- Ability to establish and maintain cooperative and effective working relationships with others.
Aerotek is hiring for a 2nd shift Tool Room Attendant position that is currently available with an aircraft manufacturing company in Philadelphia, PA.
Pay rate: $18.00-$19.00/hr
2nd shift position - 4:00PM - 12:30AM
Monday - Friday and rotational Saturday schedule
Overtime is available
Job Description
We are seeking a knowledgeable and detail-oriented Tool Room Attendant to manage the issuance and receipt of tools and consumables. The primary role is to ensure the functionality of all production tools according to production needs and maintain the operation of the tool crib in alignment with the production schedule.

Work Environment
This is a full-time position on the 2nd shift, from 4:00 PM to 12:30 AM. The work environment includes a tool room and shop setting, subject to lifting, carrying, pushing, climbing, equipment noise, and fumes. You must be able to lift objects weighing up to 50 pounds and work independently without supervision. Safety precautions and procedures must be learned and applied.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $19.00/hr.
