Site Description: Toronto Pearson International Airport is Canada’s major airport and one of the busiest with approximately 456,000 flights and 44 million passengers travelling annually. In 1999 Pearson Airport was also awarded the ISO 14001 certification for striving for environmental sustainability.Job Description: The Mobile Patrol Guard will comply with the following or performs the activities

• Provide vehicular and pedestrian traffic direction and control on the Groundside area of the Airport by facilitating the movement of vehicular traffic
• Directing or controlling movement of vehicles (including commercial and public vehicles) at specific locations
• Ensure the safe and orderly movement of vehicles and pedestrians on the Airport's terminal curbs and roadway surfaces
• Institute regular patrols at various times each day in these areas and others, direct both vehicle and pedestrian traffic, and provide the public with relevant information concerning vehicle parking, stopping, and the loading and unloading of vehicles
• Ensure the separation of vehicles and pedestrians by controlling crosswalks, lane separations, areas designated by the GTAA from time to time
• Enforcing the "Traffic on Land Side of Airports Regulations", as may be amended, supplemented or replace from time to time (Collectively the "TLSARs")
• Issuance of Parking Infraction Notices (PINs) in accordance with established training procedures when required and attend court for the purposes of giving evidence on PINs issued
• Anticipate and address areas of vehicular or pedestrian congestion and attempt to relieve the congestion and/or ensure vehicles or pedestrians move in a safe, secure, orderly and efficient manner
• Obtain vehicle counts and assist curbside staff when required
• Communicate for the purposes of towing of vehicles in contravention of the TLSARs
• Ability to work as a team and independently with minimal supervision
• Physical capability to stand and/or walk for long periods
• Ability, and willingness, to work in adverse weather conditions

Prerequisites: At the time of the interview, applicants must be able to produce proof of completion of the following:
• Grade 12 High School Diploma or acceptable equivalent
• Minimum of a year of customer service experience preferably in an Airport environment in a similar enforcement or customer service role
• Must be eligible for a Transport Canada Security Clearance, RAIC, holds a certificate in a recognized GTAA Customer Service Training Program
• Ability to effectively communicate in English (both oral and written form).
• Must possess a valid G Class license with a minimum driving experience of 3 years
Must provide drivers abstract. No more than 2 minor convictions, no major convictions, and no more than 6 demerits in the last three years.Paladin Security has a diverse workforce.
