Job Description

- A valid State of Oregon Teaching License appropriate for the position
- A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution
- The ability to follow oral and written instructions
- The ability to effectively work and communicate with students, parents, and school personnel from diverse cultures and/or backgrounds
- The ability to work harmoniously with others
- Proficient oral and written communication skills in English
- Proficient in the use of computer and Internet based applications, including but not limited to email and systems applications
- The ability to learn new automated systems as they are brought online by the District
- A minimum of three years of successful classroom teaching experience, plus a minimum of one year of leadership experience as a department chairperson, team leader, intern, or instructional leader
- Knowledge of and experience with effective instruction and assessment
- The ability to work with multiple grade levels in elementary and/or secondary
- A valid Oregon driver’s license and a vehicle for work related travel
- Effective time management and organizational skills
- Support engagement and partnership efforts that support Equity, Access, and Engagement initiatives for all students and families, with a particular focus on Native Hawaiian, Pacific Islander, and Native American/Alaska Native families.
