      Tower Technician

      Position Overview

      Shaw Industries is looking for a Tower Tech to ensure that the dry blend process is performed accurately. This position reports to the Tower Lead.

      Responsibilities:

      Making machine/process adjustments on line and on computer .

      Visual inspections of the tower monitoring system in the following areas: control room, super sack area, silos and tanks

      Following specific instructions on each order.

      Maintaining operation of dry blending process while monitoring: Temperature, Torque, Mix time and Batch numbers

      Achieving set quality standards.

      Maintain awareness truck delivery schedule for raw materials as well as tracking by lot number.

      Monitoring information such as what material is in the process or available including inventory, actual levels and usage rates

      Completing reports.

      Assist the Department Lead in the daily production of quality luxury vinyl in the safest, most efficient and productive manner, by utilizing established methods and procedures.

      Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

      Must have the ability to perform basic reading, writing, and math.

      Must be able to pass a color blindness and vision test.

      Must be familiar with current computer systems and software.

      Must be able to operate a lift truck once trained.

      Must have the ability to be cross trained for other jobs.

      A high-school diploma or equivalent.

      Passion and track record of achieving results

      Proven ability to work collaboratively with all levels of associates.

      Demonstrated ability to make timely decisions.

      Experience with continuous manufacturing processes.
