- Work with coverage / sales teams to structure compelling product solutions/proposals to demonstrate a thorough understanding of each client’s requirements and objectives
- Analyse client behaviour, conducting competitor research to inform product delivery and tariff
- Monitor progress of all product implementation and provide appropriate support to ensure all client expectations are met and exceeded
- Maintenance of customer relationship by providing seamless execution of trade product request.
- Develop a network with companies and other product areas to maximise cross selling opportunities
- Uncover client dissatisfaction with current products and initiate recommended alternative solutions
- Proactively research and stay abreast of product offerings, changes, and industry best practices
- Provide insightful product and segment management information and performance reviews
- Consult with corporate, business banking and trade operations teams on issues impacting product performance and drive initiatives to improve product offering
- Responsibility for service monitoring from product providers and monitor client experience with particular emphasis on Trade Finance products.
- Ensure service delivery is in line with SLA’s.
- Drive interaction with all relevant infrastructure areas across the business in addressing product management requirements and priorities.
- Drive relevant communication related to product changes or new product implementations.
- Participate in Group-level activities and forums affecting Trade Finance product.
- Contribute to policy direction and ensure compliance to all group and regulatory requirements with respect to executing trade business
- Build detailed local regulatory knowledge and guide sales team to comply in their daily dealings
- Ensure that all potential and existing business activity and transactions comply fully with the banks sanctions and prohibition policy
- Ensure all standard control guidelines laid down by the bank is always adhered to by product team
- Ensure compliance with operational risk & rigour requirements, Trade finance ORA requirements, coordinating management assurance reviews, and periodic review of processes to ensure the trade process are abreast with time and changes in the international trade landscape.
- Comply with relevant legislation e.g., KYC, banking code service standards, fraud prevention and money laundering procedures
- Ensure that the legal and contingency requirements of product set are established.
- Ensure product reviews are duly completed and submitted to PRGC.
- During scheduled audits and management assurance reviews, ensure that all information required by the auditors are provided timorously.
- Work with RBB governance and relevant stakeholders during audit to close out all outstanding audit issues.
