Job Description
- Req#: 1997
- Product knowledge of equities, fixed income, foreign exchange, mutual funds, options, futures, and swaps
- DTC and FED settlements
- Non-US Settlements across various global markets
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, and address issues by working with custodians, brokers and counterparties to resolve
- Research and Resolve Settlements breaks / issues
- Ability to work with global custodians
- Able to organize and compile statistics associated with trade settlement volumes and metrics
- Partner with team members on strategic initiatives within the Settlements team
- Cross train on a variety of functions within the Settlements team including margin calculation, proxy and class actions
- Comply with all regulatory requirements
- Expected to be familiar with Bessemer written policies & procedures manual which are provided to new hires
- Corporate Actions/Income Processing
- Reconciliations
- Trust Accounting
- Class Actions and Proxy
- Margin
- 1-3 years of experience in financial services, ideally with US and Global Settlements
- Bachelor’s degree, with a focus in business, finance and economics preferred
- Experience working on FIS Global Plus system is a plus
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite: Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Organized, detail oriented and able to multi-task
The Custody Department at Bessemer Trust is seeking a Custody Associate for the Settlements Team. The ideal applicant has experience in financial services, custody operations and US and Non-US settlements and a desire to work in a highly collaborative team environment.
