      Join the Stock Borrow Loan team to support trade structures and enhance operational efficiency.

      As a Trader Assistant in our Stock Borrow Loan (SBL) team, you will play a crucial role in supporting our trading desk, ensuring seamless trade execution, and driving process improvements. You will act as a key liaison between the trading desk and support teams, translating desk strategies into actionable operations. Your role will involve governance of trade fail activity, oversight of regulatory compliance, and collaboration with various infrastructure groups to support a unified team approach.

      Job Responsibilities

      • Provides close support to the trading desk, continuously seeking ways to enhance operational support
      • Develops a comprehensive understanding of trading structures from both financial and operational perspectives
      • Executes trade bookings accurately and timely, manages recalls, corporate actions, and trade lifecycle events
      • Oversees SBL fail activity, conducting root cause analysis to improve outcomes
      • Ensures compliance with SBL regulatory requirements through precise trade bookings
      • Manages PB rehypothecations and short cover processes
      • Maximizes the use of vendor services and drive performance improvements
      • Collaborates with operations and infrastructure groups to foster a 'one team' approach
      • Performs and sign off on all controls diligently and timely
      • Communicates clearly with support teams to resolve queries efficiently
      • Contributes to strategic initiatives, driving process improvements and innovation

      Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:

      • In-depth understanding of the SBL product and trading structures
      • Experience with front-to-back operations processes, including confirmations, settlements, and regulatory reporting
      • Knowledge of infrastructure groups (Finance, Market Risk, Credit Risk, etc.) and their interaction with the Trader Assistant team
      • Strong communication skills for collaborative work and effective stakeholder management
      • Attention to detail and a strong sense of ownership
      • Ability to work effectively in a pressurized and changing environment
      • Strong organizational skills to prioritize tasks and balance speed with accuracy
      • Analytical and numerical proficiency
      • Problem-solving, control, and project management skills

      Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:

      • Experience in a similar role within a financial institution
      • Familiarity with innovative tools and vendor solutions in trade operations
      • Technical skills, particularly in Excel; experience with Alteryx/Tableau is a plus
