- Develops client relationships, prepares event summaries and event orders.
- Recommends event floor plans.
- Works with Development Department, general service contractor and other contractors to secure and obtain City of Atlanta Fire Marshal floor plan approvals, licenses, and permits for Convention Center Sales related activities.
- Schedules and conducts event pre-planning meetings; prepares and distributes agenda and materials for event pre-planning meetings.
- Develops internal documents including Event Orders, CAD Diagrams and other schedules necessary to Communicate the needs of the client and distributes pertinent event information to key ANDMORE personnel.
- Prepares estimates of ANDMORE services for client prior to event.
- Plans, organizes and coordinates outside events sold by Convention Center Sales within ANDMORE’s facilities.
- Coordinates ANDMORE Market Events as required through the support of Buyer Engagement, Marketing, Trade Show Leasing and generating Event Documents for the successful execution of Market Amenities, Seminars, Receptions, Influencer Programs and other ANDMORE hosted events.
- Produces event billing and is responsible for post – event follow-up.
- Maintains, updates and organizes event information and the department's filing systems in keeping with the department policy standards. Assists with on-boarding and training new department personnel.
- Coordinates with Director of Event Operations to determine the event schedule.
- Coordinates with the Director of ANDMORE Security to review security plans and/or contracts related to contracted events; monitors security during assigned events.
- Communicates regularly with Director of Catering to ensure successful planning and execution of all food & beverage activity.
- Maintains communication with Audio-Visual contractors and ANDMORE IT staff to ensure successful execution of event requirements.
- Gathers all event electrical needs and conveys those requirements to ANDMORE Engineering.
- Coordinates move-in / move-out for various contractors including but not limited to, general service contractor, audio-visual, floral, caterer with ANDMORE Logistics.
- Enforces building rules, security policies, event and fire/ life safety policies
- Monitors contractor progress during an event.
- Reports damages/incidences to management as they occur.
- Reviews and recommends operational policies and procedures for the department.
- Reviews and updates meeting planner’s guide as needed.
- Produces the supplemental revenue and expense estimates for labor, electrical and housekeeping services) for outside events booked by Convention Center Sales.
- A degree in business or management (event management preferred) from a four-year college or university with at least 5 years’ work related experience is preferred. Additional years’ experience in the convention and hospitality industry is a plus.
- While performing the duties of this job, the team member is regularly required to talk or hear. The team member frequently is required to sit, stand, walk, use hands to handle or feel and reach with hands and arms. This position requires the ability to occasionally lift office products and supplies, up to 20 pounds.
- Flexibility to be on-site as needed based on event requirements. Includes some weekends and early or late shifts.

Primary responsibilities include the operational planning, organization and facilitation of assigned events within ANDMORE Atlanta facilities. Responsible for administering all aspects of events, both Market and Non-Market related.
