      Job Description:

      Please note that the shift for this position is a Monday – Friday 9am-6pm and it will include a Saturday 7am-4pm rotation once per month.

      **This role requires that you reside within Atlanta, GA, and is a hybrid role that offers a flexible work-from-home/in-office schedule.

      Summary:

      The Advertising Operations Specialist coordinates the flow of traffic related activity through the use of the Traffic and Billing software used by Cox Media. This position ensures an effective traffic environment through application of the Programming functionalities which requires understanding and competency of the Contract Specialist, Continuity Specialist, and Scheduling Specialist skills providing backup when necessary. Working knowledge of Network programming is necessary to Monitor, Create, and Modify Programming as needed. Also, required is the ability to create and maintain the format codes and their respective association to programming.

      This position is responsible for the accuracy of programming and break structure for all Networks serviced by the centralized center. Maintaining Marketing Avail Types per Cox Communications Incorporated (CCI) required allocation for both Corporate and Local Marketing will be a requirement of this position. Under minimal supervision, performs tasks of routine difficulty.

      Essential Responsibilities and Duties

      • Build and maintain television programming (e.g. arrangements of breaks within a show) as directed through received programming information from licensed programming sources and local origination channels.
      • Create and maintain break structure for programming as required.
      • Adhere to deadlines ensuring that break scheduling occurs as required.
      • Continuously gain efficiencies through process for Local Networks and Interconnects.
      • Maintain and resolve programming discrepancies (e.g. cross-checking a network affiliate site) to ensure appropriate program structure.
      • Maintain CCI advertising reservations as directed by Cox Media liaison.
      • Monitor and provide reports as necessary to alert sales of changes & ensuring that spot schedule is based upon inventory available.
      • Review scheduling reports and perform tasks to increase company revenue.
      • File and maintain paper and electronic documents as necessary.
      • Participate in training as required.
      • Other duties as necessary.

      QUALIFICATIONS
      Minimum:

      • High School Diploma/GED and 3 years’ experience in a related field. The right candidate could also have a different combination, such as any level degree/certification beyond a HS diploma/GED in a related discipline and up to 1 year of experience; or 5 years’ experience in a related field and no degree.
      • Requires strong knowledge of windows operating systems, Microsoft office suite including Excel, Word, and Outlook
      • Excellent interpersonal, collaborative, troubleshooting, and high touch communication skills to work effectively with teams throughout organization.
      • Previous contract and continuity experience.
      • Experience with Traffic and Billing application software
      • High energy and enthusiastic demeanor.
      • Strong interpersonal skills with ability to work independently and collaboratively.
      • Strong attention to detail
      • Demonstrated customer service skills.

      Preferred

      • Novar experience.
      • Experience in telecommunications industry desired.
