      DESCRIPTION:

      To coordinate all transportation and logistics aspects of our domestic and international orders in such a manner as to allow for the timely and smooth flow of materials and information.

      RESPONSIBILITIES:

      • Route all domestic and international orders according to their routing instructions and apply appropriate charges to ensure accurate. shipments.
      • Schedule and monitor all accumulated shipments to achieve effective administration of customers’ shipping requirements.
      • Utilize carrier and 3rd party software to process domestic and international shipments
      • Coordinate our requirements with all shipping concerns by contacting companies for pickups, pro numbers, proofs of delivery, etc.
      • Process government forms, change notices, shipping instructions, tracers, etc., to efficiently handle those situations that are outside of the daily routine.
      • Assist as required in the operation of the area.
      • Perform as back up to other office union positions as required.

      REQUIREMENTS:

      • High School Diploma/GED required
      • Knowledge of carriers, shipping methods, freight terms and classifications.
      • Strong knowledge of production control and shipping procedures with an understanding of shipping room interaction between all departments.
      • Ability to prepare all necessary shipping documents, e.g., bills of lading, export documentation such as SLI, SED and commercial invoices, tracing documents, etc.
      • Strong attention to detail and problem solving with ability to multitask
      • Experience with MS Word, Excel, Outlook and familiarity with ERP systems.
      • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills with willingness and ability to work in a high volume, fast paced environment.
