      Job summary

      An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated Trainee Enhanced Clinical Practitioner to join our UHD Urology Service. This is a new post and we are seeking applicants with a background in Urology , to work in conjunction with our Clinicians and specialist nursing team to deliver the Prostate Cancer Fast Track Diagnostic pathway . Working with the team ,the successful candidate will also develop new pathways and transform services, deliver the fast track prostate service and to drive high quality care for patients accessing our services. You would start as a Band 6 Trainee and once the ECP qualification and role specific competencies are obtained you will become a Band 7 This role requires an Active UK registration with relevant professional body Base Location: Royal Bournemouth Hospital Interview Date: TBC

      Main duties of the job

      Be an accountable person, responsible for managing practice, using an enhanced level of professional accountability, autonomy and judgement for highly complex decision-making across a discrete aspect of patient care and to deliver the Prostate Cancer Fast Track Diagnostic Pathway Care for people with complex conditions using existing knowledge and expertise, enhanced clinical assessments, diagnostics, interventions and equipment.

      Essential

      • Current registration with relevant professional body.
      • English at GCSE grade C/4 or Functional Skill Level 2 & Maths at GCSE grade C/4 or Functional Skill Level 2
      • Expectation to undertake Enhanced Practice qualification or equivalent.

      Desirable

      • Currently enrolled on or undertaking ECP qualification

      Experience

      Essential

      • Thorough and up-to-date knowledge of best practice, particularly within specialty area and the application of this in practice.
      • Experience of managing change as part of service and practice development.
      • Minimum of 2 years post registration experience in the acute or elective setting

      Desirable

      • Willingness to learn / support delivery of the prostate cancer fast track service
      • Willingness to learn LATP biopsy prostate this is fundamental that we need to increase the resilience of the service
