      Fiskars Group has an opportunity for a Trainee in Group Finance & Tax who wants to make the Everyday Extraordinary!

      TRAINEE, GROUP FINANCE & TAX

      As a Group Finance & Tax Trainee you will support our Group Tax & Customs Team and Group Financial Controlling team in a wide range of different tax, financial and administrative tasks.

      This position is based at Fiskars headquarters in Keilaniemi, Espoo, Finland. Remote working is partly possible. This position is fixed-term starting part-time (2-5 days per week as agreed with the candidate) in April 2024 and will continue full-time from June 2024 to August 2024.

      WHAT YOU’LL DO AT FISKARS

      Responsibilities:

      You will gain understanding of financial processes by assisting with month-end and quarterly reporting as well as for example participating in tax and customs related analysis and projects and taking care of tasks relating to transfer pricing. Your tasks vary within the period of month and you will get to work in a changing environment. Work requires ability to adapt to tight schedules and reporting deadlines. As an example your tasks will include following:

      • Participating in Fiskars Group’s monthly and interim closing controlling and reporting tasks together with the team members
      • Making sure that numbers match in externally published financial materials
      • Group adjustments and eliminations, including inter-company reconciliation
      • Assisting in preparation of transfer pricing documentation for various Fiskars entities
      • Reviewing of Fiskars foreign subsidiaries tax returns and transfer pricing forms
      • Preparation of data to various compliance reports, such as country-by-country report.

      Daily tools in this position are MS Office and Hyperion Financial Management (HFM). Previous experience with HFM is not required but we value ability and passion to learn new things. Your colleagues will provide hands-on training to the tasks and tools.

      You will get to work in a listed company operating in an international business environment. Your key stakeholders will be Group Tax & Customs Team members, Group Finance Controlling team and Legal Entity Controllers.

      WHO YOU ARE

      You have a proactive and a positive mindset with good co-operation skills. You can perform monthly routine tasks with a can-do attitude. We expect you to have a bachelor level or equivalent studies, preferably master’s studies in accounting and finance, and are close to graduation. Studies and interest in taxation and financial accounting will benefit you in this role. Furthermore, you should have a passion to work with numbers with an analytical mindset. English is your daily working language.

      Previous work experience within accounting, finance or taxation is seen as an asset but not required.
