- Level 7 Post Grad Cert (Min 60 Credits) , Master's Degree within relevant speciality or equivalent level of knowledge to be assessed through evidence of relevant speciality training, experience or portfolio
- Specialist training / Qualification in area of practice
- Higher Education Institute approved course in supporting learners in practice or evidence assessed to be of equivalent experience demonstrating support to a range of learners in practice
- Supporting colleagues to promote effective learning in practice

- Counselling / advanced communication skills qualification / training
- Specialist clinical skills and experience within specialist area

Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join UHS Endoscopy as a Trainee Nurse Endoscopist for Upper GI endoscopy procedures. In conjunction with HEE, South East Endoscopy Training Academy and a select university, the successful applicant will spend the first year in post, training to be a competent Upper GI Nurse Endoscopist. With a bespoke training package, you will be supported to meet all local, national and JAG competencies to enable you to become a qualified Nurse Endoscopist.
The Nurse Endoscopist team at UHS sits within the fully JAG accredited Endoscopy unit. As a department we run a 7 days service of diagnostics and complex therapeutic procedures. The Nurse Endoscopist team comprises on 3 nurses offering upper and lower procedure, nurse led clinic activity, service development opportunities and training for other learners.

The training programme will be fast paced and thorough, evidence of a good work life balance, escalation and self-awareness will be important when undertaking this role.
