- Work directly on the production floor, collaborating with operators, technicians, maintenance and other engineers to identify areas for improvement in existing processes and tools.
- Develop and implement solutions to enhance efficiency, quality, and safety in production processes.
- Improve test setups, including programming and integration with vision systems.
- Troubleshoot and resolve production issues, utilizing root cause analysis techniques.
- Contribute to the development and documentation of new processes and procedures.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and projects.
- Build strong relationships with colleagues across different departments.
- Recent graduate or soon-to-be graduate with a degree in Engineering (e.g., Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, Automation, or related field).
- Strong interest in hands-on work and a passion for continuous improvement.
- Programming experience (e.g., Python, C++, or other relevant languages).
- Familiarity with vision systems and their applications in production.
- Fluently in Dutch and English.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Proactive and self-motivated with a strong work ethic.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new challenges.

Barco is seeking a highly motivated and talented individual to join our team as a Trainee Process & Tool Improvement Engineer. This is a unique opportunity to kickstart your career in engineering by working directly on the production floor, optimizing processes, and developing innovative solutions.
This one-year program will provide you with invaluable experience and the chance to build a strong foundation for your future career within our company. After the trainee period of 1 year, you will be able to transition to a new role within Barco based on your interest and acquired experience.
