- Relevant experience necessary for clinical practice: You will need clinical experience in the field of mental health, working with people experiencing common mental health issues, which can be a minimum of either:
- Postgraduate Certificate (M Level) qualification route

- 2 Advanced Level GCEs or equivalent (e.g., B-tec, GNVQ, NVQ Level 3 and 4)
- You will need clinical experience in the field of mental health, working with people experiencing common mental health issues, which can be a minimum of either:
- Twelve months direct clinical experience in a one-to-one or group setting
- OR
- 2 years part-time voluntary experience with an established charity (for example, Mind or Samaritans) who will provide you with direct clinical experiences.
- High level of enthusiasm and motivation.
- Highly developed organisational skills.
- Advanced communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to be self-reflective and use clinical supervision and personal
- development positively and effectively.
- To be an agent in own self-care.
- Regard for others and respect for individual rights of autonomy and confidentiality.
- Ability to attend learning and apply in practice.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including telephone skills.
- Able to develop good therapeutic relationships with clients.
- Computer literate with the ability to use computer-based information system to record all client assessments and activity.
- Demonstrate an understanding for the need to use evidence based psychological therapies and how it relates to this post.
- Demonstrate an understanding of anxiety and depression and how it may present in Primary Care.
- Ability to work under pressure.
- Able to attend a one day per week course.
- Driver with access to an independent means of transport for business use.
- Be able to demonstrate self-awareness, maturity and stability.
- Be able to demonstrate the ability to cope with the emotional demands of the course and holding a clinical caseload.
- Fluent in languages other than English.

Job summary
Coventry, Warwickshire & Worcestershire Mind is seeking applications from individuals who are keen to train as a Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner (PWP) within the NHS Coventry & Warwickshire Talking Therapies Service.
Short-listed applicants are required to attend Birmingham Newman University on Wednesday 2nd July 2025.
Interviews will be held 8th July and 10th July. Due to short timescales, we cannot change the interview dates.
Applicants MUST be able to start in the role W/C 01/09/25.

Successful applicants will hold:

Main duties of the job
In this role, the post holder will be required to attend at least 1 day of teaching, undertake 1 day of self-directed study and provide 3 days of clinical practice per week offering assessment and low intensity treatment to patients presenting with common mental health problems such as depression and anxiety. The post holder will receive appropriate support throughout their training journey.
Following a period of training you will be expected to manage a caseload of patients suffering from low-level mental health conditions such as anxiety, depression, stress, and low mood.
