      Who we are/Ko wai mātou

      Organisational Development is part of the Human Resources Division. It includes teams involved in staff development, recruitment and equity. Staff development is provided by Learning and Development (L&D) and the Academic Leadership Development Programme. The latter is one of the core staff development programmes delivered in the Human Resources Division with a focus on fostering excellence in academic leadership at the University of Otago.

      The role/Te mahi

      The Training Coordinator reports directly to the Head of Academic Leadership Development Programme (ALDP). As a key member of the Organisational Development team, you will provide administrative support for the ALDP as well as assisting with other L&D and Equity Office activities.

      Key accountabilities include:
      • Provide flexible, efficient and timely administration of processes and systems necessary to ensure a high standard of programme delivery.
      • Assist with the setup, introduction and technical operational requirements of programme activities.
      • Provide support with the development of programme and learning materials.
      • Work collaboratively with other teams within Organisational Development, ensuring standardised processes.
      • Focus on continuous improvement of processes.

      • Have high levels of digital literacy – you’re comfortable using the Microsoft suite.
      • Know their way around a busy administrative role – if you enjoy this type of work then the role is exactly what you’re after.

      • Enjoy making improvements and standardising administrative processes – you get to work on new initiatives and projects.

      This is a permanent, full time (37.5 hours per week) position.
