      Training Coordinator

      The Training Coordinator works directly with the Director of Training and Development as well as Career Learning Center Instructors to ensure that our training offerings are the best in the industry. Great training only exists on top of great process and great materials. The Training Coordinator is directly responsible for making sure everything runs smoothly for existing programs while also helping ensure upcoming offerings integrate seamlessly for the company. This position is located at our Career Learning Center in Noblesville, Indiana.

      Job Responsibilities

      • Managing the calendar and sign up/sign in process for all upcoming offerings
      • Ensuring attendance and certification records are up to date and 100% accurate; maintaining training transcripts company-wide for field and office employees
      • Owning course materials printing/binding, including the behind-the-scenes organization of components that integrate into these materials
      • Ensuring that our online collection of job aids for field and office employees is always up to date
      • Working with Instructors on specific classroom set up needs
      • Test coordination for some government-mandated and third party certifications
      • Primary point of contact for our "stay over" process - lodging and meal cards
      • Coordinating the lunch delivery process for specific class days
      • Advertising upcoming events and courses to our branches, other ownership groups, and external audiences as appropriate; assisting the Director on creation of advertising
      • Assisting the Director and Instructors on creation of training videos and photography
      • Assisting the Director on creation, execution, and tracking of safety training company-wide as well as relevant government-mandated documentation (such as SDS information sheets) and our company safety manual
      • Assisting the Director on equipment/tool purchases for the labs as well as tool purchases for new field employees
      • Purchasing supplies as needed
      • Tracking group spend daily/weekly/monthly
      • Assisting the Director when necessary on external presentations and working group meetings


      Qualifications/Requirements

      • 0-4 years relevant prior experience in a similar training coordinator/learning specialist role or similar administrative position
      • Excellent written communication skills and desire to learn more about copy-editing
      • Excellent time management skills for yourself as well as helping Instructors and the Director stay on schedule
      • Basic to advanced proficiency with either Microsoft Word or Google Docs as well as cloud storage services such as OneDrive or Google Drive
      • Basic proficiency with Microsoft Excel and comfort with building simple spreadsheets from scratch
      • Familiarity with Zoom and Microsoft Teams' online meeting functionality with desire to become the expert
      • Comfort navigating computing and audio-visual hardware such as laptops, phones, televisions, projectors, high-volume printers, etc.
      • Strong attention to detail and overall organization, both of physical space and electronic documents
      • Process mindset - strong desire to follow existing processes, and innate drive to keep numbers and records up to date. Where process does not yet exist, comfort with calling that out and helping to build what is missing
      • Comfort working independently - we are a small team
      • Desire to "pitch in" as needed and occasionally get dirty hands helping make physical changes to our training center. There are no lifting requirements and no mechanical skill requirements for this role, but there are many ways to pitch in when things need to get shuffled, reorganized, or tidied
