- Serve as an instructor responsible for Military Intelligence training.
- Conduct After Action Reviews of learning activities, lessons, modules, and course.
- Evaluate student academic performance and provides performance counseling and reports.
- Prepare lesson plans, training support materials, and evaluations for the Counter-Intelligence Special Agent course.
- Provide counseling to students and assists students towards successful course completion.
- Participate in all aspects of training implementation for the Counter-Intelligence Special Agent Course.
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret security clearance based on a T5 investigation/Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI) with eligibility for sensitive compartmented information (SCI).
- In accordance with Change 3 to AR 600-85, Alcohol and Drug Abuse Prevention and Control Program, individual must successfully pass a urinalysis screening for illegal drug use prior to appointment and periodically thereafter.
- Two year trial/probationary period may be required.
- Occasional shift work may be required to include nights and weekends.

About the Position: This position is in the Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS). Employees occupying DCIPS positions are in the Excepted Service and must adhere to U.S. Code, Title 10, as well as Department of Defense Instruction 1400.25. This position is located at the ST-IC-W1E8AA USA INTELLIGENCE CTR OF EXCELLENCE. This position serves as Training Instructor (INTEL) for the Counter-Intelligence Special Agent Course.Duties

In order to qualify, you must meet the education and/or experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Specialized Experience: To qualify, your resume must describe at least one year of experience which prepared you to do the work in this job. Specialized experience is defined as experience that demonstrates a practical knowledge of the subject area of the position and of the methods and techniques of instruction, which includes performing Counterintelligence Special Agent functions to include (1) planning and conducting counterintelligence investigations to detect and identify Foreign Intelligence Entity (FIE) and international threats and counterintelligence related threats; (2) conducting overt counterintelligence collection and non-technical operations and surveillance using multiple intelligence disciplines (i.e. HUMINT, All-Source, SIGINT, etc.); (3) preparing and distributing counterintelligence products and reports; and, (4) conducting formal platform training or instruction on military intelligence topics. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GG/GS-09).

Education: Ph.D or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree with a major study in education or a subject area related to the position to be filled.
OR
Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the second year (total graduate semester hours minus 36) by 18. Add the two percentages.
