Medical transcriptionist/editor

As a Medical transcriptionist/editor, you will e dit and construct radiologist reports utilizing a combination of provided templates and voice recognized verbiage. Review reports in relation to documentation requirements and effectively communicate to the radiologist any lacking documentation. Become proficient in Powerscribe Template administration. Various related tasks as assigned.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
· Edit and construct radiologist reports utilizing provided templates and voice recognized text.
· Learn reporting documentation standards.
· Review newly onboarded radiologist reports to ensure they understand and are meeting reporting requirements.
· Effectively communicate to radiologists the documentation requirements and how to meet them.
· Edit and maintain Powerscribe templates.
· Clone Powerscribe templates to radiologists.
· Provide detail-oriented service to coworkers, interdepartmental coworkers and radiologists.
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a drive to exceed expectations.
· Solid work ethic; ability to research, analyze data, and demonstrate effective problem solving.
· Self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision in a team environment.
· Demonstrates competency in the performance of job-related skills appropriate to his/her customer populations and departmental services while providing excellent customer service.
· Utilizes and operates equipment and mechanical devices which provide for a functional, effective, and safe environment.
· Adheres to policies, procedures, guidelines relative to departmental operations.
