      As a Transfer Coordinator you will be responsible for:

      • Coordinating all processes, support, communication and documentation involved in transferring patients from one facility to another facility
      • Support physician consults.
      • Recognizing and uphold all regulatory requirements, while simultaneously updating key stakeholders of timelines.
      • Accurately enter all required data into EPIC database.
      • Coordinate with Flight for Life for patient transports.

      Schedule: 12 hour shifts, 0700-1900, 1900-0700 and 1300-0100. This is a PRN position that requires you work 5 shifts within a 6 week schedule period, with atleast 2 out of the 5 shifts being weekend shifts.

      Qualifications

      In addition to bringing humankindness to the workplace each day, qualified candidates will need the following:

      • One to two years of direct clinical experience in Emergency Room/Critical Care Unit (e.g., Critical Care Tech, EMT-B) OR One to two years of full-time direct administrative healthcare experience (e.g., Nursing Unit Secretary, Patient Access Representative) OR One to two years of Transfer Center experience
      • High School Diploma/G.E.D required
      • Bachelor's Degree preferred
      • Certified Healthcare Associate (CHAA) successfully completed within 18 months of employment. Certification must be maintained while employed

      Physical RequirementsSedentary work - prolonged periods of sitting and exert up to 10 lbs. force occasionally
