Researching and reviewing courses taken by students at other institutions
Advocating for World Campus students with college partners to determine how transfer credits apply to degree requirements
Staying current with any academic changes to their assigned degrees
Creating academic progress tools for students
Creating, maintaining, and updating various student records through Sharepoint, LionPATH, Starfish, and other online systems
Demonstrate student-centered focus

JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
The Penn State World Campus Transfer Credit Services Team seeks a highly enthusiastic individual to join a dynamic team of professionals as a Transfer Credit Specialist (TCS). Transfer Credit Specialists research student cases and make recommendations for course substitutions to college partners while ensuring the integrity of the academic program. Transfer Credit Specialists participate in World Campus Strategic Project groups, TCS team strategic planning groups, and other workgroups as assigned. Successful candidates will demonstrate the ability to collaborate across all levels of World Campus.
The Transfer Credit Services team is part of the World Campus Enrollment Management Services (EMS) Pillar. Together with World Campus Admissions, Financial Aid, Registrar, Bursar, and World Campus Central, Transfer Credit Services plays a key role in supporting enrollment and retention initiatives.
Transfer Credit Specialists are primarily responsible for:

Education and Experience:
Minimum requirement is an associate degree or higher plus four years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel, student information systems, and customer relationship software is preferred.
Additional Information:
To be considered for the position candidates must submit a cover letter and resume. Work will primarily be performed remotely with some in-person meetings/retreat attendance required at the Outreach Building at University Park, PA.
This position is being filled at the Admissions Assistant - Senior Support profile level.

The salary range for this position, including all possible grades is:
$42,100.00 - $61,000.00Salary Structure - additional information on Penn State's job and salary structure.
