- Act as the 'glue' between Business and IT leaders, helping them understand how technologies can meet business needs.
- Support Program Delivery in adopting GDP Platforms by providing technical expertise, acceleration, and governance.
- Work with digital programs to ensure the use of architectural/integration patterns and standards to accelerate their delivery and achieve better outcomes.
- Define and develop patterns to accelerate digital technology adoptions related to GDP products.
- Mature BU landscapes by working with BU and project teams to adopt standard technologies and working practices.
- Use your technical skills to provide insights and advice on the impact, adoption, and finance/cost of architectures within your subject matter expertise.
- Work with key stakeholders, including IT, business, and senior executives, to align architecture to business needs.
- Provide hands-on support to development teams to develop, evolve, and adopt architectures in transformation programs.
- Assist programs in execution, providing expertise, and support, and being a bridge to global teams and products.
- Act as an evangelist for GDP global products and technology standards.
- Bridge across architect domains, programs, and business leaders to deliver effective solutions aligned with the architecture.
- Participate in architectural governance activity to ensure key decisions align with Zurich's standards.
- Professional experience, preferably in a large corporate environment, but also with an agile/startup mindset and experience.
- Proven influencing and delivery skills backed by strong technical knowledge.
- Agile architecture experience with significant hands-on technical experience.
- Relevant industry experience preferred in P&C or Life insurance.
- Pragmatic problem solver who can roll up their sleeves.
- Demonstrable subject matter and execution experience in Architecture Design & Specification, Application Architecture (Togaf/Zachman), API Design & Standards (RAML/OAS), Policy/Claims Management Platforms, Agile/DevOps (ADO, Jira, Safe).
- Strong communication, negotiation, facilitation, and presentation skills.
- Ability to manage external suppliers and consultants.
- Works well within a matrix management structure.
Location: UK, Barcelona or Ireland/Hybrid working
Salary: Circa £90k depending on experience plus an excellent benefits package.
The opportunity:
We're seeking a Transformation Architect to join our team in the API & Marketplaces department within GTO Global Digital Platform. In this role, you will work collaboratively with a team of architects to drive and support the shape and adoption of IT architecture across Zurich with a primary focus on Global Digital Platforms.
