      We make health happen!

Bupa has set a new ambition, at the heart of its strategy, to be the world’s most customer centric healthcare company. To do this, Bupa is transforming to fulfil its mission of “helping people live longer, healthier and happier lives”.

Whilst transformation is occurring at different levels across Bupa, this level of ambition requires a company-wide shift in performance management, customer-centric mindsets, and key capabilities to drive innovation and sustained performance.

Working closely with the rest of the strategy and transformation team, this role will provide subject matter expertise and a strong bias for action to deliver on our transformational goals, build valuable intelligence, and radiate insights and assets through effective and inspiring communication.

This role will also need to work interdependently with a global network of strategy and transformation leads, so it is important that the role holder is someone who has demonstrated they can work collaboratively and supportively, whilst applying the right level of influence and support as required.

How you’ll help us make health happen:

      • Lead Bupa’s Transformation Office responsible for driving performance - including tracking strategy KPIs and extracting key implications - to help close gaps to targets and accelerate pace of transformation
      • Build and head up an Intelligence Unit including an “insight hub” providing strategic insight, best practice, and a network of cutting-edge commercial thinking from within and outside of Bupa (e.g., w/ expert think-tanks, advisors, data providers)
      • Provide expertise, challenge and thought leadership to support business / market unit teams and frontline staff as part of implementation / consulting projects
      • Ensure Group wide consistency in measurement and reporting of strategy and ambition KPIs, and for setting Group wide and BU level performance targets for KPIs that are included in reward
      • Design and deliver targeted strategic interventions and communications to share learnings and embed transformation principles, celebrate progress and galvanise the organisation
      • Co-design and co-ordinate future / current Transformation projects

Key Skills/Qualifications needed for this role:

We’re looking for an experienced leader with a strong reputation and track record for ‘getting things done’ – successfully delivering transformation in complex and multinational environments. You will have operated at a global level, be accustom at operating with the top level of the business and driving transformation projects in-directly. You may have done this as part of a consultancy or within a large corporate.

      • Proven track record of delivery through strong project management, agile methodology, and direct and in-direct (influencing) people management on cross-functional (as well as functional) agendas.
      • Strong quantitative and qualitative analysis skills, including KPI / performance data analysis.
      • Experience (direct or managing teams) building internal assets – such as internal case studies, competitive scans or business reports, in an engaging format that drives adoption and change.
      • Driving change and providing consultation to colleagues through a robust consulting toolkit as well as direct implementation / operational skills
      • Capable operator who can influence and bring together senior stakeholders to address an opportunity or problem and manage progress through to delivery.
      • Strong problem solving and analytical skills – ability to digest disparate pieces of business data, pull out distinctive insights and translate that into concrete implications and actions.
      • Sophisticated commercial mindset, ensuring that agenda is positioned within the broader business and wider industry/economic context.
      • Inclusive leader who shares our values and is passionate about building and developing healthy high performing diverse teams; able to coach as well as personally execute.
