What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Receive and prioritize incoming patient transport requests, gathering essential demographic and clinical information
- Assign clinical resources, such as ambulances and medical personnel, based on patient needs
- Handle emergency response requests, notifying appropriate teams and coordinating necessary actions
- Maintain effective communication with patients, families, healthcare providers, and transportation services
- Accurately document patient information and transport details in electronic medical records

What is Required (Qualifications):
- Must possess a valid Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) certification
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Maryland Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) - Basic certification required at hire
- Current essential cardiac life support (CPR) certification
- Minimum two years of experience working for an ambulance service or an acceptable alternative

How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- National Registry Emergency Medical Technician Basic certification preferred or obtained within 90 days
- Two or more years of experience as an ambulance/emergency service dispatcher
