      You will be the responsible and accountable leader for owning the transportation operation and associates in a number of regions within the UK. You will own all the operations, budgetary, people development targets for your functional areas, with the aim to optimize driver’s performance and Linehaul load planning and efficiency through careful preparation and execution of the network. You will also lead the strategic part of the business for program growth and expansion. TOM team is the interface between Operations and the Supply Chain/Trans organizations.

      Key job responsibilities
      • Act as the responsible and accountable person in respect of the Operator License (O License)
      • Strategically lead a team of Transportation Managers and Associates for your region
      • Install a performance culture in the team, instill ownership across the team, and overall, create a high-performing team
      • Drive a proactive management of healthy, positive working relationships on a day-to-day basis with your team.
      • Own the operations of your region. You’ll track and drive both the operational goals and metrics of your Region, while regularly presenting your findings to the senior leadership team.
      • Prepare and run Operations daily and weekly calls to communicate the performance of your region to Senior leadership
      • Support and commit to all safety programs and compliance to ensure a safe work environment for all associates and compliance operations
      • Proactively identify and lead process improvement initiatives and Lean tools
      • Work closely with stakeholders (PxT, Finance, ROC, WHS, PMs) and work closely with TOM Regional Managers and Site Leadership to keep good relationship with our customers and support projects and initiatives in their sites
      • Will require extensive travel within the UK Region

      Transportation Associate Programme (TAP) is part of Amazon Transportation Services. TAP scope is to execute shunting and short distance over the road driving with Amazon Associates (AA) drivers.       We are open to hiring candidates to work out of one of the following locations:

      Luton, GBR | Tilbury, GBR- Transport Manager CPC qualification
      - A degree
      - Relevant experience in people and stakeholder management
      - Advanced proficiency in verbal and written English
      - Relevant experience in using data or anecdotal evidence to influence business decisions
      - Relevant experience in key areas of production and supply chains Preferred qualifications are not required to apply for a position at Amazon. If you have all the basic qualifications above, we’d love to hear from you.

      - Experience in Lean, Six Sigma and Kaizen techniques
      - Experience in a similar logistical working environment
      - Relevant experience working with the MS Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) in a professional environment
