Exciting opportunity to join our dynamic team as a Transport Shift Manager on the Morrisons Contract in Bridgwater, where your leadership drives efficiency and innovation in every delivery!

WHAT DOES THE ROLE ENTAIL?

• To directly assist Operational Management by managing and generating the shipping requirements for distribution routes, from warehouse to end-user, maintaining precise and up-to-date performance reports for your designated shift
• To manage and implement productivity by communicating job expectations to direct line reports, ensuring that all deadlines are safely met within allocated time frames while always maintaining standards of excellence
• To track and trace shipping orders using a digital in-house tracking software system, ensuring that all legislation and records are maintained and kept at optimum level
• To monitor recruitment levels and initiate staff training as required, keeping up-to-date records in-line with company policies

WHAT DO WE NEED FROM YOU?

• Proven track record in managing logistics and transport operations effectively. Experience in leading and managing a team of 50+ colleagues, fostering collaboration and high performance will be required.
• Capable of identifying issues and implementing effective solutions to enhance operational efficiency.
• Strong understanding of health and safety regulations, ensuring a safe working environment both on-site and on the road.
• Hold Valid O License - This desirable, for overseeing transport operations and ensuring compliance with regulations.
