  Coke Florida is looking for a Transportation Planner based out of our Tampa Headquarters. We’re currently looking for first shift working Monday through Friday working normal business hours.

  What You Will Do:

  The Bottler Transportation Planner plays a critical role in coordinating and optimizing the transportation of bottled goods from production facilities to distribution centers, warehouses, and retailers. This position ensures that transportation processes are efficient, cost-effective, and aligned with company objectives, while meeting strict timelines and quality standards.

  Key Responsibilities:

  1. Transportation Planning:

  1. • Develop and execute transportation schedules to meet production and delivery deadlines.
     • Optimize routes and modes of transport to ensure timely and cost-efficient delivery.
     • Coordinate with bottling facilities, carriers, and distribution centers.

  1. Carrier Management:

  1. • Negotiate and manage contracts with transportation service providers.
     • Monitor carrier performance and resolve any service issues or delays.
     • Ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.

  1. Inventory and Load Coordination:

  1. • Plan and oversee the loading of trucks to maximize space and minimize costs.
     • Monitor inventory levels at bottling plants and distribution centers to prevent stockouts or overages.

  1. Data Analysis and Reporting:

  1. • Analyze transportation costs, trends, and performance metrics.
     • Generate reports on delivery times, freight costs, and efficiency improvements.
     • Identify opportunities for cost savings and process enhancements.

  1. Collaboration and Communication:

  1. • Work closely with production, warehouse, and customer service teams to align transportation plans with business needs.
     • Communicate proactively with stakeholders regarding delivery schedules and potential delays.

  1. Compliance and Safety:

  1. • Ensure all transportation activities comply with local, state, and federal regulations.
     • Implement and maintain safety standards for the handling and transport of goods.

  Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management preferred but not required, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Experience: 2-5 years of experience in transportation planning, logistics, or supply chain management, preferably in the beverage or FMCG industry.
  • Skills:
    • Strong knowledge of transportation management systems (TMS) and route optimization software.
    • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
    • Proficiency in data analysis and reporting tools (e.g., Excel, SAP, Power BI).
    • Strong communication and negotiation abilities.
    • Problem-solving mindset and attention to detail.

  Key Competencies:

  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
  • Strong understanding of transportation regulations and compliance requirements.
  • Knowledge of freight and shipping practices, including LTL, FTL, and intermodal transportation.

  Physical Demands:

  • May require occasional travel to bottling plants, distribution centers, and carrier facilities.
  • Ability to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
