- Reviewing and filing Driver Vehicle Inspection Reports (DVIRs) and associated cover sheet weekly for all DOT-regulated transportation sites. This includes providing DVIR compliance metrics monthly and maintaining the DOT required DVIR’s on file.
- Maintain and track vehicle registrations and auto ID cards in fleet management system and renew all vehicle registrations and auto ID cards for all transportation sites.
- Review State and Local vehicle requirements for all new transportation site openings including licensing, permits, taxes, and other requirements.
- Collaborates with site level leaders to ensure all fleet vehicles are being operated in a safe and compliant manner.
- Administers FMCSA’s Commercial Motor Vehicle (CMV) driver qualification process as part of the pre-hire process for internal transfer items, promotions, add jobs, etc., including but not limited to, maintaining the DOT required Driver Qualification File items.
- Ensures continued compliance with FMCSA’s CMV driver qualification process, including but not limited to, maintaining the DOT required Driver Qualification File items.
- Administers Towne Park’s DOT drug and alcohol compliance program. Serves at the company’s “designated employer representative” (DER) and liaison between the company and regulatory agencies.
- Coordinates with third party vendors to ensure compliance with random drug and alcohol testing program, post-accident and/or reasonable suspicion testing program, and other driver-related programs utilizing third party support.
- Administers state-specific and local-level driver qualification requirements (e.g., CA Pull Notice, special driver licenses or permits, etc.)
- Provide training on DVIRs, FMCSA compliance and Drug and alcohol testing requirements to operational personnel that provide leadership, oversight and/or direct supervision and implementation of Towne Park’s transportation program to new transportation site.
- Actively coordinates and guides Human Resources and Compliance departments in tracking and auditing of all transportation operations and safety practices.
- Develops, coordinates, communicates, and maintains all transportation-related metrics and performance measurements.
- Actively participates in development, coordination, and maintenance of all transportation related communications and training materials.
- Works with all departments and executives to effectively develop and set plans for accomplishing company transportation and safety priorities.
- Partner with Operations to support growth and safe delivery of transportation services.
- Works with appropriate departments and functions to develop and implement a process for managing company-owned and/or leased vehicles, as well as non-owned vehicles operated by company.
- Knowledgeable and works with appropriate 3rd party vendors and appropriate internal corporate departments in identifying and implementing key technology-based solutions to enable higher levels of operational efficiencies, financial fleet management, DOT compliance and risk management.
- Collaborates with Operations, Sales and Corporate Legal teams to ensure all transportation services contracts are legal, compliant, and executable.
- Partners with Safety & Claims department to establish proactive safety guidelines and standards while supporting post-accident root cause analysis and claims reviews.
- Degree in related field or comparable experience and/or training in Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations.
- Possess a valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with Passenger endorsement
- A minimum of 3 yrs. experience in a vehicle and/or employee support role (e.g., Human Resources) which included DOT experience, problem resolution, data warehousing, data archiving, etc.
- Exposure to a decentralized fleet operation.
- Experience with DOT regulations including regulations in the Federal Motor Carrier Handbook for motor coach/buses.
- Experience with communication devices, computers and supporting word processing, spreadsheets, and database applications needed to validate safe fleet operations.
- Well-rounded knowledge of technology for various fleet management and DOT compliance systems
- Familiar with methods and techniques of dispatching commercial passenger vehicles
- Must be able to establish and maintain effective working relationships with all transportation site Account Managers as well as internal corporate functional partners (e.g., Background Screening Services, Human Resources, etc.).

The Transportation Manager is responsible for Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) compliance, reporting, training, and program administration as it relates to Driver Qualification Files (DQFs) and Alcohol and Drug Testing programs for the Department of Transportation (DOT) regulated drivers that work at Towne Park. This position is responsible for DOT compliance as it relates to Towne Park’s fleet program for all Towne Park vehicles. In addition, this position serves as a liaison between Human Resources, Account Managers, site level leaders, and associates to ensure compliance will all ongoing post-hire DQF and other driver and vehicle related requirements.Job Details
Compensation: Towne Park is committed to offering competitive, fair, and commensurate compensation. Actual compensation will be based on a candidate’s job-related skills, experience, education or training, and location. The annual base pay range for this position is $90,000 - $100,000.
Additional Compensation: Employees may be eligible to receive annual incentive bonuses depending on their job classification and the policy guidelines.

Employees are provided company-paid basic life and AD&D insurance as well as short-term and long-term disability. Employees are also able to enroll in the company’s 401k retirement savings plan.
Paid Time Off: Employees accrue 0.0654 hours of PTO per hour worked up to a maximum of 136 hours per calendar year. Employees receive 6 paid holidays throughout the calendar year and employees accrue up to a maximum of 4 paid floating holidays per calendar year.
