      Raytheon is seeking a Transportation Solutions Specialist to be a member of the larger Raytheon logistics team. This role is responsible for transportation support, planning, and execution activities in coordination with customers and cross-discipline technical staff from Supply Chain, Program Operations, Security, Contracts, Pack/Ship and Receiving, as well as 3rd party logistics providers.

      Responsibilities to Anticipate:

      • Consult on new business initiatives, including the generation of RFIs and RFQs to support program proposal efforts.
      • Mitigate transportation challenges and transportation planning to include forecasting, budgeting, risk and opportunity analysis, and carrier strategy.
      • Participate in and lead various projects.
      • Develop partnerships with outside carriers and stay up to date with industry trends and technologies.
      • Support continuous improvement of Raytheon’s Transportation Management System.
      • Support logistics team with carrier sourcing, analytics, and network design.
      • Participate, develop, and occasionally lead lean strategies and collaborative partnerships for both existing operations and emerging business.
      • Develop and implement TMS enhancements to drive operational efficiencies and cost savings.
      • Collaborate with suppliers on best practices for using Raytheon tools and resources.
      • Coordinate and schedule inbound supplier specialized truckload shipments in support of program operations.
      • Execute and monitor damage and loss claims, partnering with Risk Management and Operations.
      • Collaboration with carriers and 3PL providers to enhance and optimize logistical operations.
      • Develop and manage KPI metrics that drive carrier/3PL performance and evaluate transportation expenses.
      • Daily interaction with other teams, programs, and Business Units to maintain and meet organizational goals and objectives.
      • Develop & lead Cost Reduction Initiatives.
      • Monitor Carrier/3PL Standard Operating Procedures and ensure SOW requirements are met.
      • Support carrier/3PL RFP initiatives through contract award and implementation.
      • Research, Evaluate, & Document Raytheon & Industry Transportation Management Best Practices.
      • Create & Maintain Command Media Harmonization
      • Prepare & present training content for transportation planning.

      Qualifications You Must Have:

      • Minimum 4 years’ experience in logistics related to transportation.
      • Use of transportation management systems.
      • Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.

      Additional Desired Experience:

      • Negotiating, implementing, and management of carrier agreements.
      • International shipping, planning, and compliance.
      • University degree or equivalent experience and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience, or an advanced degree in a related field and minimum 3 years experience.

      The salary range for this role is 77,000 USD - 163,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.

      This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
