Prepare the CVOR for surgical procedures, ensuring all instruments and supplies are sterile and ready
Scrub in and assist the surgical team during open-heart and vascular procedures
Maintain a sterile field throughout the procedure
Pass instruments and supplies to the surgeon efficiently and accurately
Anticipate needs of the surgical team during procedures
Assist with room turnover and instrument sterilization post-procedure
Follow all infection control, safety, and CVOR protocols
Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology program
Certification as a Surgical Technologist (CST) preferred
BLS (AHA) certification required
Minimum 1–2 years of CVOR scrub experience preferred
Familiarity with cardiac bypass equipment and vascular instrumentation
Ability to work in high-pressure, fast-paced environments
