      Travel Industry Sales Manager is responsible for business generation as it relates to prospecting and securing individual corporate, leisure and wholesale accounts on behalf of the hotel in accordance with the goals and strategies outlined in the annual Marketing Plan and in concert with our Global Sales Office effort. Position is also responsible for soliciting and securing business from key travel industry, wholesale and some corporate sources. Travel Industry Sales Managers are accountable for ensuring quotas and goals are met and to ensure that direct sales activities are focused on generating the maximum revenue per available room for the overall hotel’s success. This position requires a high degree of independent judgement and discretion on decision-making.

      Responsibilities include but are not limited to Developing accounts (new and existing) by mapping specific business and buying tendencies. Perform daily telephone solicitations to new and existing accounts/customers. Promote awareness to markets via travel to respective regions in the country providing presentations and personal sales calls. Maintain communication/relationship with WSO network, as well as other Four Seasons hotels toward achieving pre-determined revenue goal. Create and execute direct sales plan specific to market assignment. Promote local awareness through maintaining relationships with new and existing customers. Conduct tours of property to and other potential customers while informing of all resort services available. Entertain customers on property during site inspections. Coordinate all sales related activity through the direction of director of sales; negotiate contract specifics to achieve maximum profitability while satisfying customer needs. Excellent knowledge of Golden Sales and Catering account management system to achieve Four Seasons minimum standards, while utilizing technology as an account/organizational tool; have a working knowledge of local and regional competition.

      WHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR

      · Prefer luxury property corporate and leisure sales experience with 3 years of successful sales management experience in a luxury setting.

      · Knowledge of Opera preferred

      A minimum of three years of Luxury Hotel Leisure Sales.

      · Education: College degree

      · Requires reading, writing and oral proficiency in the English language

      · Excellent written/verbal communication and presentation skills, acute attention to detail, proven negotiation skills, strong organizational and time management skills and proven record with positive relationships amongst worldwide sales teams and clients alike.

      Desired Skills and Experience:

      · Luxury hotel sales minimum of 3 years in the leisure and/or groups market. Proven sales track record required.

      · Identify and target leisure agencies that will generate business

      · Negotiate, draft, generate proposals that ensure the resorts budget and revenue targets are achieved.

      · Utilize various prospecting resources to solicit and secure business on behalf of hotels.

      · Use company wide programs, sales developments, prospecting projects, WSO customer events and reporting for leisure business development.

      · Follow up on all business inquiries and leads and qualify business to generate leisure room nights.

      · Create and execute account plans for assigned market territory to ensure maximum leisure revenue and budgeted leisure targets are achieved for the property.

      · Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue and direct sales goals including outside sales calls, prospecting calls, site inspections, and entertainment as outlined.

      · Assist Director of Sales & Marketing in the development of new programs and sales campaigns to obtain additional sales from the various market niches.

      · Assist Director of Sales & Marketing with the implementation, follow-through and updating of the quarterly action plans.

      · Explores new ways to increase revenue.

      · Fluency in English is required.

      · Strong and effective interpersonal skills, outstanding communication and presentation skills.

      · Proven relationships in the luxury leisure travel industry.

      · Excellent communications skills (verbal and written), a strong sense of quality and a creative mind set.

      · A self-starter that can multi-task and prioritize.

      · Travel – varies but approximately 20-30% of the time.

      Minimum Requirement

      Must be able to work all shifts including, AM's, PM's, weekends, and holidays.

      Must be able to travel.
