      Job Title: CVICU Nurse
      Shift: Days / Nights / Rotating (depending on position)

      Job Summary:
      The CVICU Nurse provides specialized care to critically ill patients recovering from complex cardiovascular surgeries, including open-heart procedures, heart transplants, and other major cardiac interventions. This nurse works as part of a multidisciplinary team to deliver advanced hemodynamic monitoring, medication titration, and life-saving interventions in a high-acuity ICU setting.

      Key Responsibilities:

      • Monitor and manage post-operative cardiovascular patients requiring intensive nursing care.
      • Operate and manage life-support equipment such as ventilators, intra-aortic balloon pumps (IABP), and CRRT machines.
      • Administer and titrate IV medications such as vasopressors, sedatives, and anti-arrhythmics.
      • Assess and document patient status, respond to rapid changes in condition, and communicate with physicians and other healthcare staff.
      • Educate patients and families on post-operative recovery and long-term care considerations.

      Qualifications:

      • Active RN license in the state of Indiana (or compact license if applicable)
      • BLS and ACLS certification required
      • Minimum 1-2 years ICU or CVICU experience preferred
      • Strong knowledge of cardiac rhythms, critical care medications, and post-surgical recovery
