      Registered Nurse - Operating Room (OR) / Short Stay Surgery

      Facility: Cape Fear Valley Medical Center
      Location: Fayetteville, NC (1638 Owen Dr)
      Start Date: 07/28/2025
      Duration: 13 Weeks
      Shift: Days (5x8-Hour, 07:00-15:00, Monday-Friday)

      Job Overview:

      This position provides perioperative nursing care in a Level III Trauma Center and Teaching Hospital with 733 staffed beds. The RN will work in both main OR and short-stay surgery settings, caring for adult patients across various surgical specialties.

      Key Responsibilities:

      • Circulate and/or scrub for surgical procedures
      • Prepare OR suites with appropriate instrumentation and equipment
      • Monitor patients during procedures and recovery
      • Collaborate with surgical teams including surgeons and anesthesiologists
      • Charting: Epic EMR (required)
      • Floating: May float to similar perioperative units as needed

      Requirements & Qualifications:

      Mandatory:

      • Active RN license (Compact or NC state; no pending licenses accepted)
      • 2+ years of recent OR experience (main OR and/or short-stay surgery)
      • Epic proficiency (required)
      • Certifications: BLS (ACLS preferred)

      Preferred:

      • Experience in trauma surgery
      • CNOR certification
      • Experience with multiple surgical specialties
