- Monitor patients for side effects or complications related to cancer treatments and provide appropriate interventions.
- Educate patients and families about treatment plans, medication management, and coping strategies during recovery.
- Collaborate with oncologists and other healthcare professionals to develop individualized care plans tailored to each patient's needs.
- Provide emotional support to patients and families during challenging situations.
- Document patient progress accurately in medical records while adhering to regulatory standards.
- The role is based in hospitals, oncology clinics, or infusion centers where RNs provide direct support to cancer patients during treatments like chemotherapy or radiation therapy.
- This position requires compassion, attention to detail, and adaptability when working with patients undergoing complex medical treatments.
