Job Description
- Req#: 11585
- Analyze and audit travel related documents submitted by staff, students, prospective employees, contractors, and guests.
- Ensure that all required receipts and supporting documentations are attached to Travel Expense Form
- Audit all information available for the selected trip
- Contact traveler and/or administrative assistant if additional information is needed to complete audit
- Make audit decisions based on SBMS (Standards Based Management System) or Travel Internal Operating Procedures (IOPs)
- Document audit comments and close out audits in the required processing time
- Other miscellaneous travel functions as needed
- Responsible to provide decision and recommendations to supervisor when necessary
- Provide excellent customer service to travel population
- Independent judgement and decision making

- A high school diploma and 7 years of related experience or an associate degree with 5 years of related experience
- A bachelor’s degree in a business-related field
- Travel audit experience
- Experience with SAP and knowledge of government travel regulations (FAR, FTR, GSA, etc.)
- Computer skills and working knowledge of software packages including Excel, Outlook, Word and Adobe
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Motivated self-starter with the ability to work independently and to participate creatively in collaborative teams across the laboratory.
- Ability to function well in a fast-paced research environment, set priorities to accomplish multiple tasks within deadlines, and adapt to ever changing needs.
