      Description

      SAIC is seeking a Traveling Security Specialist in Arlington, VA. Primary responsibility will be to assess Army National Guard (ARNG) G-2 Security Programs and provide comprehensive training and guidance to ARNG security personnel across different locations. Expertise will play a crucial role in enhancing security awareness and compliance with new ARNG policies. Serves as a multi-functional security specialist in support of the protection of classified and controlled unclassified information (CUI). Implements and enable intelligence-related security programs in accordance with the AR 380-series regulations and Security Education and Training & Awareness (SETA).

      Job Duties:

      Information Security (InfoSec):

      • Conduct training sessions on safeguarding sensitive information, data protection, and secure communication practices.
      • Educate ARNG staff on the importance of confidentiality, integrity, and availability of information assets.
      • Address emerging threats for ARNG security posture including incident response management and physical security standards for secure rooms policies and procedures.

      Industrial Security:

      • Train ARNG personnel on physical security measures for facilities, equipment, and classified materials.
      • Ensure compliance with security protocols related to access control, visitor management, and secure storage.
      • Collaborate with industrial security officers to reinforce best practices.

      Personnel Security (PERSEC):

      • Provide one-on-one guidance on personal security awareness.
      • Explain PERSEC policies, including handling personal information, social media risks, and reporting incidents.
      • Assist in background checks and clearance processes.

      Communications Security (COMSEC):

      • Familiarize ARNG staff with secure communication methods, encryption, and key management.
      • Highlight the importance of protecting communication devices and preventing unauthorized access.
      • Address emerging threats for COMSEC posture, ensure COMSEC audits and command inspections are conducted.

      FD. Foreign Disclosure:

      • Educate ARNG personnel on sharing information with foreign entities.
      • Explain the procedures for controlled unclassified information (CUI) and classified information sharing.
      • Address potential risks and legal implications.

      Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI):

      • Provide specialized training for handling SCI materials.
      • Cover access controls, need-to-know principles, and secure communication within SCI compartments.
      • Collaborate with intelligence units to reinforce SCI security practices.

      Qualifications

      Required Education and Experience:

      • Bachelor's degree and ten (10) years or more of related experience; four (4) years of experience in lieu of degree.
      • 3 Years of specialized experience with AR 380-series regulations (AR 380-5, AR 380-10, AR 380-67, AR 380-27, AR 380-28, AR 380-40, AR 380-49).

      Required Security Clearance:

      • Active TOP SECRET clearance with the ability to obtain TS/SCI (US Citizenship required).

      Required Skills:

      • Prior experience in security, or military security operations.
      • Excellent communication skills to effectively convey complex policies.
      • Adaptability to different environments and willingness to travel extensively.

      Desired Certifications:

      • Security Fundamentals Professional Certification (SFPC) or Security Professional Education Development (SPeD) Certification highly desired.
