- Daily monitoring and management of Hydro's external FX and liquidity positions on a group level.
- Regularly liaise with core banks for FX, money market transactions and trade finance and secure competitive service agreements and terms.
- Support and advise internal units within FX, trade finance and treasury system utilization.
- Maintain oversight and report on Hydro's positions and commitments, along with developing treasury systems for process improvement.
- Masters degree in Finance/Economics/Business Administration or similar
- 3-7 years of relevant experience from treasury operations from international company or bank
- Knowledge of FX and rates markets and systems, and related financial instruments
- Basic understanding of trade finance and guarantee handling and documents
- Analytical Thinking: The ability to analyze complex financial data, market trends, and risk factors is crucial. An analytical mindset helps in making informed decisions and managing financial assets effectively.
- Attention to Detail: Precision is vital in managing financial transactions. Individuals should pay close attention to details to manage risk and ensure compliance with regulations.
- Communication Skills: Effective and well thought through communication is essential for collaborating with banks, internal units, and other stakeholders. Clear and concise communication helps in negotiation, advisory roles, and building relationships.
- Adaptability: Financial markets and regulations are constantly developing. Being adaptable and open to assessing new market practices, technologies, and market dynamics is essential for staying relevant.

Group Treasury and Tax, part of Hydro’s corporate center in Oslo, is responsible for the company’s treasury processes, tax, insurance, and asset management. We are now hiring a professional to join the Financing & FX department, which is responsible for external treasury arrangements and corresponding internal services.
This is an excellent opportunity to gain insight into the business of a global corporation, while applying your specialist competence in finance. You will work with a range of tasks in a visible role with many interfaces and the opportunity to contribute to the further development of Hydro’s treasury function, financial policies and governance.
