Treasury Trading Analyst
Glasgow
As a Barclays Treasury Trading Analyst, you will be working in the treasury and funding investments teams. Here, you will be involved with the external liquidity sources across a range of products, markets, and programmes. You will ensure the firm is funded in line with projected requirements and have management of internal funding of businesses across the bank. What will you be doing?
• Ensuring Barclays International (BI) has sufficient liquidity to fund, as well as comply with ongoing regulatory requirements
• Guaranteeing that all regulatory and internal liquidity stress requirements are met, and that the future evolution of BI’s Balance Sheet is considered
• Checking risk, P&L, and Balance Sheet are accurately measured and reported, including daily and monthly explains
• Carrying out daily processes and utilise cross-firm networks and authoritative understanding to improve process efficiency
• Contributing to broader team execution across different platforms, currencies and asset classes, in complex and challenging conditions, to ensure thorough coverage of funding and investment
• Carrying out funding moves through the bank from front to back and co-ordinating the hedging of the banking book and transfer pricing processes
• Contributing to projects and change management to improve desk processes, regulatory remediation and product portfolio development and expansion
• Suggesting improvements to processes on the desk from a macro perspective in order to streamline execution ability and improve governance and control structureWhat we’re looking for:
• Proficient in Excel/VBA/SQL
• Proactive, adaptable, and collaborative
• Undergraduate or equivalent degreeSkills that will help you in the role:
• Experience and interest in driving continuous improvements within teams
• Understanding of the Treasury function and its role within a bank
• Knowledge of Interest Rate Risk
