      What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
      - Serve as a program expert for the Hanford closure/post-closure Treatment, Storage, and Disposal Facilities (TSDFs)
      - Conduct inspections and provide guidance on groundwater monitoring requirements during closure and post-closure
      - Develop inspection scopes by analyzing compliance histories and permit conditions
      - Prepare final inspection reports following standardized processes
      - Engage with permittee representatives to resolve observations and violations, including preparing recommendations for enforcement when necessary

      What is Required (Qualifications):
      - A combination of six (6) years of experience and education in environmental work or related fields for the Environmental Specialist 3 level
      - Technical environmental experience and understanding of State or Federal Regulations
      - Demonstrated problem-solving skills and ability to evaluate information quality and summarize options
      - Educational background in environmental, physical, or natural sciences or related disciplines
      - Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license

      How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
      - Experience regulating or working at a hazardous waste treatment, storage, and disposal facility
      - Advanced degrees such as a Master's or Ph.D. in relevant fields
