Kalahari Resorts and Conventions delivers a beyond-expectations waterpark resort and conference experience all under one roof. The authentically African- inspired resort is home to America’s largest indoor waterparks and features well-appointed guest rooms, full-service Spa Kalahari, a fun-filled family entertainment center, on-site signature restaurants, unique retail shops and a state-of-the-art convention center.
We are inviting you to apply for our Ropes Course Practitioner/Zipline Operator position. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety for all ropes course and Gorilla Grove guests. Responsibilities include setting up ropes course, tying required knots, assisting guests in proper harness fitting, demonstrating proper ropes course techniques, operating the ropes course activity, preforming retrievals, and rescues, inspecting equipment, and educating guests about Gorilla Grove/ Kalahari. In this role, you will also be responsible for ensuring safety and an exceptional experience for all zipline and Gorilla Grove guests. Responsibilities include setting stop ropes, tying required knots, assisting guests in proper harness and helmet fitting, demonstrating proper zipping techniques, operating the zipline activity, preforming retrievals, and rescues, inspecting equipment, and educating guests about Gorilla Grove/ Kalahari.
We do require that you have a background, consisting of prior experience with outdoor recreation, athletics, education roles, high ropes instructing, zip lining or similar experience. You must pass and complete the required site-specific safety training course according to TAC standards offered by Kalahari. Must be 18 years of age or older.
