- Familiarity with area community agencies and high schools
- Verbal Fluency in Spanish
- Ability to utilize Zoom and other on-line communication platforms
- Two years’ experience working directly with college admissions or financial aid
- Knowledge and experience with veterans educational benefits issues
- Experience marketing services to low-income individuals
- Experience working with a diverse workforce.

The TRIO Educational Opportunity Center (EOC) is a federally-funded program at CSU-Pueblo with the primary purpose of assisting individuals who are low- income and/or potential first-generation college students in gaining access to higher education. Employment is contingent upon grant renewal from the Department of Education and the successful meeting of the grant objectives.
The individual in this grant-funded, in-person position, is responsible for conducting the day-to-day operations of the TRIO EOC office currently located in Trinidad. In-person support may also be required at the host institution’s other satellite offices. Site coordinators are responsible for assisting clients, records management, supervision of work study employees and database management as relevant. Site coordinators are also responsible for conducting in-person outreach to various area colleges and universities, community agencies, and high schools with the purpose of disseminating information about college and primarily identifying college-ready first generation and low-income participants for the program. Routine travel within Trinidad and other locations within the program’s service area is required. The Trinidad Site Coordinator is responsible for recruiting a minimum of 350 eligible participants per year, contacting a minimum of 2 community organizations monthly in order to identify potential EOC eligible participants, and conducting a minimum of 1 in-person outreach event per month.
This position is based in Trinidad, Colorado.
This position is funded through 2026 by a renewable Department of Education grant. Continued funding is dependent on the successful meeting of the grant objectives and renewal of grant funding.
Primary Duties
Provide in-person services to program participants including:
Perform client intakes, determine program eligibility, select participants, assess services needed to achieve educational goals, and develop participant service plan.
Enter information about participants and services provided into database and maintain hard-copy files for all participants, ensuring participant records are complete and in order. Complete monthly error checks and file audits. Facilitate completion of the Annual Performance Report (APR).
Plan and implement community outreach in assigned service area. This includes individual and group meetings, representing the program at events, and conducting workshops for potential participants, parents and staff members of community organizations, secondary and postsecondary institutions.
Track participant progress in completing critical tasks identified in the participant service plan, including enrollment of participants in postsecondary education.
Provide zoom or phone services to participants unable to physically access site/campus for services.
Ancillary Duties
Attend professional development conferences and training.
Other duties as assigned.
Salary Range
$40,000 - $42,848Minimum Qualifications
