- Driving and Operation: Operate delivery truck without a class A Commercial Driver’s License, safe operation of equipment which includes non-CDL vehicles, forklifts, pallet jacks, and light duty vehicles, pick up or Deliver goods to institutions and other specified locations though out the state, ensure safe loading, unloading and accountability of products.
- Receivables: Assist with receiving various commodities from vendors and freight delivery companies, verify purchase order specifications, indicating quantities received, vendor invoice numbers, and any discrepancies or damaged shipments.
- Supply Requests: Fill Warehouse supply Requisitions, enter orders and maintain stock levels, compile/prepare documents for input into inventory management system, assist inventory and supply specialists as assigned.
- Inventory: Assist with special and/or physical inventories, perform special and/or quarterly physical inventories of warehouse stock items to assure accurate stock levels and compliance with governing directives.
- Must have a Class B and below Oregon valid driver license, and satisfactory driving record.
- Logistics: Experience understanding of loading and unloading procedures, cargo securing, and maintaining accurate records,
- Driving Proficiency: Experience operating heavy and/or light motorized equipment.
- Vehicle Maintenance: Experience performing minor servicing of equipment, including pre-trip and post-trip inspections, and the ability to identify and report issues.
- Time Management: Experience adhering to delivery schedules and managing time efficiently.
- Problem-Solving: Experience dealing with unexpected situations, such as accidents or mechanical issues.
- Communication: Experience communicating clearly and concisely with dispatchers, customers, and co-workers.
- Adaptability: Experience adjusting to changing conditions, such as weather or traffic.
- Safety Awareness: Experience to all safety protocols, such as wearing seat belts, using safety lighting, and following accident procedures.
- Physical Fitness: Being able to lift heavy items, climb in and out of trucks, and withstand long hours of driving.

- This position does not offer remote or hybrid work options. Requires on-site work in the Aumsville (3455 Aumsville Hwy SE, Salem OR 97317) warehouse.
- Work schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00am to 5:00 pm, with a possibility of weekends, depending on activation.
- Requires physical ability to perform heavy lifting for short duration on a daily basis, and load and offload supply shipments during inclement weather conditions.
- Subjected to hazards associated with a disaster response and delivery sites.
- Requires operating a forklift, pallet jack, box truck with a pneumatic lift gate, trailers, ATV, and various motor pool vehicles.
- Daily work is performed in a warehouse environment.
- Emergency response and hazardous driving may be required.
- Occasional out of state travel is required.
- Incumbent must be proficient in multiple vehicles platforms.

About the Resilience and Emergency Management Program
The Office of Resilience and Emergency Management's (OREM) purpose is to prevent, protect, mitigate, respond to, and recover from natural, technical, and human-caused threats and hazards. The unit works closely with federal, state, local, and tribal governments; a wide array of private partners; ODHS programs and disaster survivors. OREM and the Office of Health, Safety and Emergency Services work together to help ODHS programs in their work to keep Oregonians they serve safe during disasters. OREM is also responsible for mass care (primarily shelter and meals) following a disaster and for emergency social services during the recovery period.

As a Truck Driver, you will
The purpose of this position is to support the mission of ESF 6 and SRF 4 to deliver supplies to communities impacted by emergencies. You will be responsible for the statewide delivery and backhaul of products in preparation for, or in response to, mass shelter needs, serving other state agencies, food banks, and vendors. You will aid in daily operations, including the receipt, inspection, storage, issuance, and documentation of supplies crucial to the institution's operational requirements, as well as uphold precise records for additions and removals in the inventory management system.
