Job Description
- Req#: JR6464
- Operate equipment in a safe manner following DOT regulations and company policies and regulations.
- Drive commercial vehicles to pick up and transport waste to a designated location safely while meeting scheduled appointments and following all DOT regulations.
- Ensure placarding of the vehicle meets DOT regulations.
- Maintain paperwork including expense reports, timesheets, vehicle inspection reports, manifests, and job sheets.
- Inspect truck equipment and supplies such as tires, lights, brakes, gas, oil, and water.
- Secure cargo prior to and during transit.
- Complete additional assigned duties.
- High School Diploma / GED preferred.
- CDL A License
- Minimum of 1 year experience driving tractor and trailer.
- Manual transmission
- Clean driving record.
- Ability to use a tablet for E-Logs.
- Abide by standard DOT regulations at all times.

CDL Truck Driver
Our drivers haul loads across the street, no long hauls or over the road. Go home every day.
In the first three months you will learn: how to transport residue from facility to landfill. How to transport non-processable material to Plant 2.
In six months, you will: Have full knowledge of all driving aspects of the facility and responsibilities.
After one year you will have: the ability to train up on other equipment, excavator, front loader, forklift.
Position Description:
The CDL Driver will perform duties associated with transporting hazardous and non-hazardous waste between Covanta facilities and the client’s sites. Drivers will have the opportunity to operate a variety of equipment including vacuum tankers, vacuum trucks, vans, and flat beds.
