      Overview

      We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Truck Escort/Spotter to join our team. Reporting to the Logistics Supervisor for Lafarge Aggregates, the Truck Escort/Spotter is responsible to escort Aggregate trucks on and offsite at the BHP Jansen Potash Mine. The successful candidate will have exceptional communication skills, attention to detail, and a strong commitment to safety.

      Responsibilities

      • Communicate effectively with drivers, dispatchers, and other team members
      • Escort trucks into and offsite, ensuring safety protocols are followed
      • Check truck loads for compliance with safety and weight regulations
      • Verify delivery locations and ensure correct materials are being delivered
      • Monitor traffic flow and ensure trucks are not blocking traffic or causing congestion
      • When required, safety oversee and direct the dumping of loads at stockpile sites
      • Maintain accurate records of all trucks entering and leaving the site
      • Assist with general site maintenance as needed

      Qualifications

      • High School diploma or equivalent
      • Must have a valid Class 5 driver's license and a clean driving record
      • Strong communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment
      • Attention to detail and ability to accurately record and report information
      • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities
      • Experience in a similar role preferred
      • Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions

      Working Conditions:

      • Must complete all pre-qualification and site access tests required to work and stay at the BHP Jansen Potash Mine
      • This position has a schedule of 10 Days on, 4 Days off at the BHP Jansen Mine Camp.
